The Brooklyn Paramount Theatre

The Brooklyn Paramount Theatre

by Michael Hittman

About the Book

This comprehensive history of the Brooklyn Paramount, erected in 1928 and the world's first motion picture theatre built expressly for the talkies, debunks the myths of this celebrated landmark. Closed since 1962 and recently restored by LiveNation, this cinematic cathedral offers a vital, chronological glimpse into the biographies and events of its four faces: film, Vaudeville, Rock n Roll, and jazz.
